"Pioneers" Honored for Advocacy of Public-Private Partnerships In Transportation At ARTBA 20th Anniversary Conference Gala Dinner
Washington, D.C. [September 16, 2008]— Industry executives, public agencies and private sector firms were honored September 15 for their outstanding advocacy and leadership in promoting the “practice, use and adoption” of public-private partnerships (P3s) on transportation improvement projects. The group was recognized at a special dinner during the American Road & Transportation Builders Association’s (ARTBA) 20th Annual Conference on Public-Private Ventures (PPV) in Transportation, held in the Nation’s Capital. Among the honorees: "Champions": For exemplary work in advancing the practice, use and adoption of P3s in transportation in the United States.. • Barbara W. Reese, Virginia Department of Transportation Individuals: For contributions to advance the practice and use of P3s in transportation in the United States. • Thomas W.
