2009 ARTBA Transportation Design and Construction Wage, Benefits and Salary Data Washington, D.C. [November 12, 2008]— Are you interested in learning more about what contractors in your area are paying their employees? The American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) 2009 “Transportation Contractors Salary & Benefits Survey” can help. The new ARTBA-TDF publication provides data for 38 office and field positions found in a typical firm in the transportation design and construction industry. Detailed salary, bonus and benefits information are also included. Survey results were produced from contractor-provided data representing firms of all sizes and a cross section of market locations. In addition to summary data for the nation as a whole, the 2009 edition of the Salary and Benefits Survey provides detailed data for small (less than $5 million in revenue), small/medium ($5-$25 million), medium ($25.1-$50 million), medium/large ($50.1-$100 million) and large (more than $100 million) firms for four regions of the country. The publication also includes the average, high and low salaries and bonuses for top executives, office personnel and field workers. Hourly wage and benefit information is provided for hourly workers, both skilled and unskilled. Workforce composition and demographic data such as the number of unionized, Hispanic, African-American and women hourly and salaried employees is also available, broken down by region. The 150-page survey can be purchased for $260 by contacting ARTBA’s Liz Cavallaro at 202-289-4434 or by visiting www.artbastore.com. Established in 1902, ARTBA is the consensus voice for the U.S. transportation construction industry in the Nation’s Capital. The ARTBA-TDF is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity created more than 20 years ago to “support research, education and public awareness.” It supports an array of initiatives, including educational scholarships, awards, executive education seminars, roadway work zone safety and training programs, special economic reports and a national exhibition on transportation. ###
